International Centre for Economic Development

In 2009 ABW entered a competition to design the UK’s first business support centre for women.

The proposal considered a wide range of issues including accessibility, low energy and most importantly creating an environment that would encourage communication, dialogue and networking.

Designed around a central space, with café on the ground floor to provide a revenue, the building works as a series of opportunities for encounter and to meet, allowing its users to network, develop contacts, build relationships and support each other.
