TEACHING RESTAURANT

ABW have been working with City of Liverpool College on the redesign of their Academy Restaurant. The restaurant is staffed and run by students undertaking training at the college, delivering a fine-dining experience. The old restaurant was tired and dated, dark, with poor visibility within the space.

The new design sought to move away from the institutional feel of a college building; with the restaurant an outward facing entity in its own right. The interior space was rearranged to give better views in and out from the bar and kitchen to the public square beyond. ABW have aimed to create a light, bright, welcoming space that could be suitable for a daytime market as well as evening dining.
